Jackson's First Professional Pictures

We got our pictures back to day. They are adorable! I was going to just post a few, but I'm having a hard time choosing, so here are a whole bunch of his pictures. Thanks again to our wonderful photographer, Caralee Case. His feet have become his favorite toys. His sad face...We had to work pretty hard to get smiles from him. I think he was a little sleepy, but we actually ended up getting quite a few.
The black background really brings out his eyes. He definately gets the gorgeous blue from his daddy.
My favorite...
He made some really interesting faces, which I think I like just as much as the smiles.

Picture Session

Today we finally had some professional pictures taken of Jackson. They turned out so cute! We won't have all of the pictures until next week, but our photographer has posted a few of the really good ones to her blog. caraleephotography.blogspot.com She is a really great photographer. For anyone who lives in the Idaho Falls area, I would definately recommend her. She is very enthusiastic and patient, and has a lot of talent for capturing little babies. She also has great prices and gives you digital copies of all of the pictures. Enjoy. We will post more when we have them all.

Jackson's 1st six months

Since I'm getting a late start on our blog, here is a photo review of the first 6 months of Jackson's life.
Our little family, January 25, 2009
Like father, like son.
He's so cute in just a diaper. He should be a baby swimsuit model.
Jackson's winter hat. He loved it for the first 5 minutes. Then he decided he hated it and hasn't worn it since.
Halloween 2008. I think they have the same smile.
Jackson's baby blessing and Grandma and Grandpa Boyd's house. I love the little white bow tie. And in honor of my brother Kevin, who is on his mission in Canada, we used he same outfit that he was blessed in.
Ready for a fight.
Tiny Jackson enjoying a nap.
This is his favorite sleep position.
This is one of my all time favorite pictures of Jackson.
Glow baby glow... Jackson had jaundice and had to keep a billi blanket in his pajamas for the first few days. He made our whole bedroom glow at night.

Jackson Kent Boyd

Jackson finally arrived July 30, 2008 at 7:11pm. After a very long deliver, he arrived completely healthy and happy. He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz, 22 inches long. He was adorable from the very beginning. This is the last picture taken of Jackson still in my tummy.
On the way home from the hospital.

Baby Boyd on the way

The next big event in our lives... Baby Boyd. In November 2007 we found out that we were expecting our first baby. The due date was set for July 29, and we started out on the longest 9 months I have ever experienced, but he was worth it all. 20 weeks - it's a boy!
6 months and counting... 8 1/2 months. Any day now...

Our Second Honeymoon

Four months later, we decided to go on a cruise to Mexico to celebrate my graduation, Tyler's birthday, and my new job at Melaleuca. Tyler sang karaoke... enough said.

The Honeymoon

We went on our honeymoon to San Diego. It was a gorgeous sunny week. We love California in the winter time. We didn't go to any big theme parks or zoos. We spent most of our time at the beach or in the hot tub, but we did go to a science museum and a botanical garden. We tried to go to the temple but it was closed for cleaning the entire week.
