Jackson is 6

It was quite the birthday for my sweet little Jackson boy. This year, I finally remembered to do a birthday interview with him. Here are some of his answers:

So, how does it feel to be six?
Good.

What kinds of things can you do now that you’re old that you couldn’t do when you were little?
Climb the rock wall. Fisher is too scared. He really only goes up 1 step.

What is your favorite color?
green

What is your favorite food?
Broccoli (this is totally false. At this point, he must have already realized that someone would read these answers. Or he was feeling guilty about the lecture the doctor gave him about vegetables)

What’s REALLY your favorite food?
Okay, candy. But, broccoli is my 2nd favorite.

What is your least favorite food?
Carrots

Jackson asked for 3 things for his birthday. The movie Little Rascals, a Darth Maul double-ended lightsaber, and toy bow & arrows for him and Fisher. Fisher was a little worn out from all the fun.

What is your favorite book?
Trouble Gum

What is your favorite movie?
Star Wars

What is your favorite toy?
Legos

Who are your best friends?
Cruise, Austin, CJ, Fisher (fisher was added to the list several questions later, when Jackson got panicked and said, "Wait! I need to go back and add something to one of my answers! Can I do that?"

For his birthday meal, Jackson requested a fruit smoothie from Olive Garden.

What is your favorite thing to do?
Play with mom and dad

What is your favorite thing about yourself?
Can it be Fisher? Like, my brother, Fisher.

What is your favorite thing to do outside?
Swim

Where is your favorite place to go?
Chuck E. Cheese. You should have known that one, Mom.

Getting birthday packages from the grandmas was really fun. This little boy sure gets spoiled.

Fisher also enjoyed a smoothie.

What do you want to do for a job when you grow up?
Well, there’s lots of cool things that I want to be. Like an astronaut or a pilot. Can it be two?

Where do you want to live when you grow up?
In Idaho

How old will you be when you get married?
30, maybe. Wait, how old were you?

We took Jackson to Jump for Fun, which is a giant warehouse filled with bouncy houses. It's pretty cool. I wish it was closer and cheaper. I could spend a lot of time there.

The very fancy, double-sided Darth Maul lightsaber. This stupid toy has already shattered 2 of my ceiling fan light shades. Can you guess who did that? Hint: it wasn't me... or Jackson... or Fisher...

Birthday party with Darth Vader masks

Is there anything you’re afraid of?
Heights

If you could be any animal, which one would you be and why?
Horse, because they can go super fast

Jackson complained that I didn't have any games planned for his party. He claimed that coloring pictures and eating cupcakes did NOT count as games. He then requested that we play "that one game where you make a giant darth vader and then everyone gets a lightsaber and you blind fold them and spin them and they try to put the lightsaber in his hand." So that's what we did.

We just covered our whole living room with sheets. How else do you handle 12 kids ages 6 and under?

What do you love most about Fisher?
That he’s my brother

What do you like learning about?
Candy

If you could have anything for your birthday, what would you choose?
Candy. *giggles* I said candy for 2 answers in a row.

I love my amazing Jackson. I'm so proud of him and think he is the greatest 6-year-old I've ever know.
